About this course
This course provides all persons who have occupational
health and safety responsibilities with the necessary
competency to demonstrate the application of health
and safety legislation relevant to the duties and
responsibilities of an occupational health and safety
representative (hereinafter referred to as H&S Rep).
This course will also enable you to identify, evaluate and
record health and safety hazards in your designated work
area and to evaluate the risk to operational tasks and
processes in the work environment.
It will also equip you with the necessary competence to
conduct inspections and equipment checks in the
workplace, to identify deviations and record the findings
for submission to the health and safety committee.
