It should be noted that, even though those who have attended this course should have achieved a good practical understanding of X-Ray equipment, the Radiation Safety Officer, who is listed on the registration certificate, bears the ultimate responsibility for the supervision of operations associated with X-Ray equipment.

About this course

This course aims to provide persons working with or around equipment that produces x-ray radiation an awareness of the principles of radiation protection.

Upon completion of this course, operators are expected to know the basic radiation protection principles so that they can work comfortably and confidently with analytical x-ray equipment and to be able to understand why certain procedures must be followed to achieve radiation protection.
