Who This Course Is For
On completion of the course the trainee should be able to pass the Radiological Council’s qualifying examination held at completion of the course and competently operate wireline logging equipment and minimise doses received to such a level that the hazards are virtually zero.
About this course
The aim of this course, a pre-requisite to obtaining a licence, is to train persons who intend to operate wireline logging equipment, in principles of radiation safety. Operators are required to hold a licence in compliance with State Legislation.
Area of Industry Served:
Any application involving density and moisture content indication down logging holes.
Course Pre-Requisites:
Minimum 3 months logging training experience under a licenced person.
