Practical component includes audit/inspection of fixed gauges containing radioactive source and the use of various types of radiation monitoring devices (such as survey meter and dosimeter) used in most Western Australian industries.
Who This Course Is For
It is recommended that those attending this course should have successfully completed the 3½ day Fixed Radiation Gauges (Industrial) course.
About this course
The one-day refresher course is designed to provide the RSO and licensed radiation workers with information necessary to update their knowledge regarding radioactivity and radiation dose rate calculations, dose limits, current radiation safety legislation and transport regulations. Relevant information concerning various industrial gauges, safe work procedures, maintenance and legal obligations will be discussed.

Low Voltage Rescue and CPR Training Course
This course is designed to provide participants with the skills and knowledge required to perform a rescue from live low voltage (LV) electrical apparatus using a Low Voltage Rescue Kit in an electrical industry environment. The aim of this course, a pre-requisite to obtaining a licence, is to train persons who intend to operate portable gauges (moisture and density), in principles of radiation safety.
