Who This Course Is For

On completion of the course the trainee should be able to pass the Radiological Council’s qualifying examination held at completion of the course and competently operate portable gauges and minimise doses received to such a level that the hazards are virtually zero.

About this course

The aim of this course, a pre-requisite to obtaining a licence, is to train persons who intend to operate portable gauges (moisture and density), in principles of radiation safety. Operators are required to hold a licence in compliance with State Legislation.

Any application using portable gauges for purposes such as density and moisture content indication.
