Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Explain the purpose and business benefits of an information security management system.
- Outline the structure and content of ISO/IEC 27001:2022 and its relationship with ISO/IEC 27000 and ISO/IEC 27002.
- Explain the specific information security management-related requirements of ISO/IEC 27001:2022.
Participants will need to demonstrate acceptable performance in each of these areas in order to complete the course successfully.
Upon successful completion of the course requirements, a Certificate of Successful Completion will be issued.

The purpose of this course is to provide participants with an understanding of the management systems approach and the requirements of ISO/IEC 27001. This course may be valuable as preparation if you are planning to complete other ISMS-based training courses, such as the Internal ISMS Auditor Training Course or the ISMS Auditor/Lead Auditor Training Course.

- Introduction to Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) and ISO/IEC 27000 series of standards.
- ISO/IEC 27001:2022 overview and clauses 4-7.
- ISO/IEC 27001:2022 clause 8 and risk assessment.
- ISO/IEC 27001:2022 clauses 9 and 10 and Annex A.
- Information Security Legislation.
Prior Knowledge:
Before starting the course, you are expected to have the following knowledge:
- An understanding of the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) cycle.
- basic knowledge of the concepts of information security management and an understanding of commonly used information security management terms and definitions, as given in ISO/IEC 27000.
