Course Overview

What you'll learn

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Describe and apply the changes of the ISO/IEC 27001:2022 Management Systems Requirements.
  • Understand and define the ISO/IEC 27001:2022 main changes to clauses 5 to 8.
  • Understand ISO/IEC 27001:2022 updates to the Annex A controls, aligned to ISO/IEC 27002:2022.
  • Understand the updates of ISMS documentation required, including new control references in the risk assessment and Statement of Applicability (SoA).

Participants will need to demonstrate acceptable performance in each of these areas in order to complete the course successfully.

Upon successful completion of the course requirements, a Certificate of Successful Completion will be issued.

Who This Course Is For

Before starting the course, participants are expected to have the following knowledge:

  • An understanding of the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) cycle.
  • A basic knowledge of the concepts of information security management and an understanding of commonly used information security management terms and definitions, as given in ISO/IEC 27000.

NOTE: Learners are required to obtain a copy of the ISO/IEC 27001:2022 Information Security, Cybersecurity and Privacy Protection – Information Security Management Systems. Learners should familiarise themselves with the standard prior to attending the training course.
