ISO 14001:2026 Environmental Management Systems Implementation Training Course
The purpose of this course is to provide learners who have an existing, basic knowledge of, or experience in, environmental management with an understanding of the management systems approach and the requirements of ISO 14001:2026, and to provide a basis for learners who wish to implement an Environmental Management System.

On completion of this course, participants will have the knowledge and skills required to:
- Gaining commitment and support from senior management.
- Engaging the whole business – training and communicating requirements.
- Comparing the existing management systems with ISO requirements.
- Establishing an implementation team to address identified performance gaps.
- Conducting internal audits and encouraging staff to train as Internal Auditors.
- Regularly reviewing the management system and continually improving it.
Learners will need to demonstrate acceptable performance in these areas to complete the course successfully.

Who This Course Is For
This course is designed for individuals involved in planning, maintaining, supervising or has a need to understand how to implement the environmental management system within their organisation.
Prior Knowledge
- Management Systems – the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) cycle
- The core elements of a management system and the interrelationship between management responsibility, policy, planning, implementation, measurement, review and continual improvement.
- Environmental management
- Knowledge of the concepts of energy management and the relationship between an organisation’s activities, products and services and equipment on energy efficiency;
- Commonly used energy management terms and definitions, as given in ISO 14001:2026;
- The requirements of ISO 14001:2026.
NOTE: Learners are required to obtain a copy of the ISO 14001:2026 Environmental Management Systems Standard. Learners should familiarise themselves with the standard prior to attending the training course.
