The introduction to IATF 16949:2016 Module 1 consists of 4 sessions. In order to fully complete the course and understand the IATF standard, 100% attendance is required. On completion of this course, a certiifcate will be issued.Important: Only the softcopy of the course material will be distributed on the day of training. Thus participants are reminded to bring along their laptop for the duration of the training.

The purpose of this course is to equip participants with an understanding of auditing techniques for compliance to automotive Quality Management system IATF 16949:2016.The new IATF 16949: 2016 has adopted the risk-based thinking to enhance the process approach in the planning and implementation of an effective automotive quality management system. The inclusion of risk-based thinking changes the ways of how we plan and conduct audits.Process Approach with Risk-Based Thinking auditing technique is the new paradigm in the audit arena. This unique approach emphasizes the need for auditors to look for effectiveness of processes rather than departmental procedure conformity. The added risk-based thinking requires the auditors to look at the potential risks or opportunities within its quality management system (QMS). This approach will allow the auditors to assess not only the effectiveness and conformity of the QMS, but also the organization planning and implementation of the actions to address continual improvement.This course is aligned with other SGS Training Product offerings to support IATF 16949:2016 and is delivered by a competent tutor meeting the IATF 7.2.3 regulations and ISO 19011 audit requirements.Important: Only the softcopy of the course material will be distributed on the day of training. The Core Tools Module 3 course consists of 6 sessions. In order to fully complete the course and understanf the IATF standard, 100% attendance and passing of exam is required.Prior KnowledgeBefore starting this course, learners are expected to have the following prior knowledge:Management Systems: Knowledge of the IATF 16949 standardQuality Management: A basic knowledge of the concepts of quality management and the relationship between quality management and customer satisfaction and understand the commonly used quality management terms and definitions, as given in ISO 9000Important: Only the softcopy of the course material will be distributed on the day of training. The IATF 16949:2016 Lead Auditor Course consists of 3 modules, in order to fully complete the course and satisfy the IATF standard clauses 7.2.3 and 7.2.4, 100% attendance of all 3 modules and successful completion of tests (Moduls 2 & 3) is required.
