ISO 14064 Greenhouse Gas Lead Verifier Training Course (VILT)
This course has been developed by SGS to provide Greenhouse Gas and Climate Change practitioners with the necessary skills and knowledge to undertake a verification of a Greenhouse Gas (GHG) inventory developed in accordance with ISO 14064 1:2018 using the verification standard ISO 14064 3:2019.

Module 1 - Introduction to Climate Change and Greenhouse Gas Accounting and Reporting
Introduction to ISO 14064-1 and the GHG Protocol. To explore quantification and reporting of Greenhouse Gas emissions. Describing the concepts of GHG inventories, carbon footprints and carbon neutrality.
Introduction to ISO 14064-3 and the Verification of Greenhouse Gas Statements by providing a thorough understanding of the Verification Process according to ISO 14064-3 standards. Developing a verification approach which includes a strategic review, risk analysis, verification plan and sampling plans.
Providing a deeper insight into the validation of Greenhouse Gas Statements in accordance with ISO 14064-3 standards, including verifying removals and net carbon emissions. Exploring the difference between Verification and Validation in the context of ISO 14064-3, ISO 14065 and ISO 14066.
