Nur wenn dieses Zusammenwirken durch einen strukturierten Umgang mit den Prozessen in Form eines Prozessmanagement harmoniert, kann das Unternehmen einen Nutzen ziehen.  Ein Prozessmanagement identifiziert, analysiert, gestaltet, dokumentiert, implementiert und verbessert die internen Prozesse unter aktiver Beteiligung der im Prozess handelnden Mitarbeiter. Mit Hilfe verschiedenster Methoden (u.a. Wertstromanalyse, Tätigkeitsanalyse, Informationsflussanalyse) sowie dem Prozesswissen der beteiligten Mitarbeiter kann nachhaltiger Nutzen für das Unternehmen erzielt werden. ​

Der Erfahrungsaustausch ist eine neue Plattform, auf der Erfahrungen zur Anwendung der Normen und Umsetzung normativer Anforderungen zwischen Auditoren und/ oder erfahrenen Mitarbeitern aus verschiedenen Unternehmen ausgetauscht werden können. Dabei werden die Potentiale zur Weiterentwicklung des bestehenden Managementsysteme aufgezeigt und Ideen zur Weiterentwicklung angestoßen. Der Austausch zwischen Unternehmen und der Ausbau von Netzwerken sollen gefördert werden.
