Learn about the requirements of ISO 45001:2018 and develop the skills needed to conduct an internal audit in your organisation so that you can report on the effectiveness of the Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) management system implementation.

This course consists of two separate eLearning modules:

1. ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health & Safety – Introduction eLearning Course
2. ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health & Safety – Internal Auditor eLearning Course

Completion criteria: You will need to achieve a pass mark of 80% or more in the final assessment, to pass this course. You will then be able to download the course completion certificate. You have 12 months access to this course, effective from the date of purchase.

OBJECTIVES

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

• Prevent work related injury and ill health by identifying and controlling hazards, that will provide a safe and provide a healthy workplace
• Incorporate the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) model and risk-based thinking into the management system processes so that you can address risks and make the most of any opportunities
• Create a health and safety culture, where employees are encouraged to take an active role in their own OH&S
• Plan an internal audit of an occupational health and safety management system against ISO 45001:2018 in accordance with ISO 19011:2018 and ISO/IEC 17021-1 as applicable
• Verify that the organisation is compliant with its own policies, procedures and associated documents by using the auditing principles and process
• Report on the management systems effectiveness by gathering objective evidence and evaluating the extent to which work related injury and ill health to is being prevented, managed and continually improved

AUDIENCE

The course is designed for experienced health and safety professionals who have an understanding of the management systems approach to improve OH&S.

PRIOR KNOWLEDGE

Before starting this course it is recommended that learners have the following prior knowledge:

• OH&S management principles and concepts to ensure continual improvement of health and safety performance and the OH&S
• Evaluating activities relating to products and services in order to establish and control risks and hazards associated with emergency situations and accidents
• Managing risks and hazards relating to workplace locations, people and activities where the organisation has control and influence over health and safety
